Pella Boys’ Tennis Finishes Second at Home Invite

A split squad for Pella on Saturday took second place overall on the tennis courts at the Pella Invitational. The Little Dutch varsity squad finished only behind Maharishi by 30 points, 165 – 135. Notable performances on the day include a second place in doubles by Tom Palmer and Aaron Van Maanen, and a fourth place in singles by Jamison Roozeboom. You can see a full list of results below. The Pella boys’ tennis team will next be in action Monday at Norwalk at 4:15 p.m.

Full Results:
Jamison Roozeboom defeated Preston Henderson 8-0, and Troy Smith 8-2.
Jamison Roozeboom lost to Chad Moklestad 1-8, and Will Hamilton 4-8.
Jamison Roozeboom placed 4th in singles.

Michael Schemm defeated Hobie Hein 8-2, and Colin Jones 8-1.
Michael Schemm lost to Sam Stickels 4-8, and Solaris Nite 4-8.
Michael Schemm placed 6th in singles.

Tom Palmer/Aaron Van Maanen defeated Lang/Durbin 8-5, and Selleck/Sahwney 8-6.
They lost to Gelfand/Morales 4-8.
Tom Palmer and Aaron Van Maanen placed 2nd in doubles.

Sam Dysktra/Tom Pettit defeated Milonas/McBurney 8-3, Anderson/Solomon 8-2, and Lang/Durbin 8-2.
They lost to Gelfand/Morales 2-8.
Sam Dysktra and Tom Pettit placed 5th in doubles.

Notable mention from the Pella #2 team today was Sam Palmer who finished 8th in singles.
