With every single sporting event in our area being cancelled yesterday, two more Pella teams today will try to continue their season. The Pella High girls’ tennis team was recently in action on Tuesday against a very good Pella Christian team, and were defeated 9 – 2. This afternoon, they’ll be heading to Indianola for an invitational. Head coach, Tiffany Rohe says that this early in the season, and really, all year long, she doesn’t set goals for her girls. Instead, she just has the team dive head first into each meet. The tennis team will begin play at noon today, barring any cancellations. The 3 – 2 – 1 Little Dutch soccer team will also try and get a game in today at Dallas Center-Grimes. Pella defeated Gilbert in their last game on Monday, 2 – 0, and Coach Mark Solomon said that his team played their best half of soccer so far this season in that contest, and hopes to see that continue in the game today against the future conference foe. The Pella boys get things going on the pitch at 4:45 p.m.
