Making the postseason tournament in the final week of the regular season, the Central baseball team was not-so-warmly welcomed by Simpson in the first round of the tourney, losing 10 – 6. The Dutch would come back and win the next two games very handily the next day, and had to play a third game later than evening, again versus the Storm, but fell 9 – 0. Coach Adam Stevens says that his guys could have easily thrown in the towel, but showed him what they were made of by fighting through each and every inning. Central concluded their regular season with a 22 – 19 record.
