A 20-year-old Des Moines man pled guilty Friday to two felony counts relating to the manufacture of methamphetamine. Justin VanderMartin pled guilty to possession of precursor – lithium and precursor – pseudoephedrine. VanderMartin was present in a Knoxville home last month were authorities found several items that can be used to make meth in a backpack. Vandermartin admitted that the backpack was his. He will be sentenced on July 12th in Marion County District Court and faces up to 10 years in prison.
