Second place was good enough for the Pella Christian girls’ golf team yesterday as they were able to stave off the competition to advance to the Class 2A regional final meet next week. Dike-New Hartford wound up having the lowest score overall with a total of 356, and the Eagles were behind them with a 393, which was 19 strokes better than third place Woodward Granger. Autumn Vos’ 93 was the fourth best score of the day, and Amy Dunsbergen was next best for the Eagles with a 99. Pella Christian’s ladies will next at Marengo Country Club for a chance to go to the state tournament next Monday.
