The Marengo Golf Club was a little too challenging for the Pella Christian girls’ golf team on Monday, as they were unable to qualify for the state meet. Autumn Vos and Cori Uitermarkt tied for a 109 on the day to lead the Eagles, as the fifth place score necessary to get to Ames was 11 strokes better at 98. Dike-New Hartford ran away in the team standings, winning by 51 strokes over second place North Linn who had 427. Pella Christian was not too far behind with their total score of 439. Amy Dunsbergen shot a 110 and Savanna Baugh scored 111 to round off the scoring for the Eagles, whose season ends at the regional tournament.
