They may be loaded with youth, but Pella Christian’s track teams showed they are loaded with talent and potential, getting a total of six events qualified for the state tournament this week. Derek Van Kooten is the lone representative for the boys, and he will compete in both the high and long jump. The Eagles’ girls will compete in four events inside Drake Stadium: Christa Veenstra in the 400 meter dash, Madison Fopma in the high jump, and the 4 x 100 meter and the sprint medley relay.
