Pella Christian’s girls’ soccer team blanked C-M-B on Wednesday night 3 – 0 to advance to the second round of the Class 1A regional tournament. Abby Pleima pulled double duty in soccer and softball and made her presence known by scoring the game’s first goal in the 30th minute. Less than two minutes later, Morgan DeRuiter found the back of the net off a well-placed corner kick from Buffy Bouwkamp. Bri Warden rounded out the scoring with a goal late in the second half. Jenna Roose made ten saves in goal for the Eagles who will now play at Nevada in the semi-finals on Friday.
