A resounding victory at Corning yesterday ensured that the Pleasantville girls’ golf team would be heading back to state to try and bring home some hardware for their school. The Trojans finished the day with a team score of just 369, a whole 24 strokes better than second place Corning at 393. Senior Ashley Jahner earned meet medalist honors with her round of 83, and her teammate, freshman Hannah Gordon, was runner-up with a 91. Marshalltown is the next destination for Pleasantville girls’ golf, as they’ll be participating in the state meet next Tuesday and Wednesday.
