Knoxville Tennis players Kassi Griggs and Taylor Carter were eliminated from the Class 1A State Doubles Tournament yesterday. They lost to the duo of Caroline and Elizabeth Ott of Dubuque Wahlert. Griggs and Carter won the first set 6/4, but fell in sets two and three by scores of 6/4 and 6/1. Griggs and Carter moved on to the consolation bracket against the Ballard team of Alana Bendler and Jenna Leland and fell in three sets as again they won the first set 6/3, but fell in the second and third set 7/6, and 10/8. Both Griggs and Carter finish their season and become the first doubles team from Knoxville to qualify for the State Individual Tournament.
