Two first half goals were all Norwalk needed to disperse of the Pella High boys’ soccer team on Monday, winning over the Little Dutch, 2 – 1. Coach Mark Solomon told KNIA/KRLS Sports that Norwalk came out prepared and focused in the first half, and took advantage of some rare Pella mistakes to score twice in the opening forty minutes. Jacob Vollmar scored on a penalty kick in the second half, but that’s the only ball that would find the back of the net for the Little Dutch, unfortunately. Pella was 7 – 0 – 1 in their last eight games coming into last night, and now the Dutch, Norwalk and Newton all have one conference loss heading into the final two weeks of the season. The 9 – 3 – 2 Pella boys’ soccer team will be at future conference foe, Dallas Center-Grimes next on Thursday.
