Continuing their game that was suspended due to the rain on Monday, the PCM baseball team battled back from behind late to beat Des Moines Christian last night, 5 – 3. The Mustangs tallied two first inning runs with Des Moines Christian answering with one of their own in the bottom half. The Lions added single runs in the third and fourth to take the lead 3 – 2. PCM plated three runs in the sixth to hold on for the win. Ethan Kain had originally started the game on Monday, but came in in the seventh to record the final two outs to record the save and secure the win for starting pitcher Chase Keuning. Kain also went 4-for-4 at the plate, drove in a run and stole a base to help his team to a 2 – 0 start. The Mustangs will be at Norwalk for a game later tonight.
