Comprised of countless working elements this season, the Pella High girls’ soccer team is off to a blistering start to the season. They are 9 – 1 on the year, have won six straight, and in those six games, they haven’t allowed a single goal against, while scoring 31 of their own, including back-to-back ten goal wins in their last two games. One senior on the team, Bri Schroder, has been a big part of the success the team is having so far. In ten games played, Schroder has netted 18 goals, helped with six others and has 42 points on the year, which is sixth in the state in all classes. Coach Mark Howard says that Bri is a special player. Schroder just recently signed on to play soccer at Grand View University next year. Pella’s girls are currently on a break for Tulip Time and will resume their season this Tuesday at home against Norwalk.
