The South Central Regional Airport Agency held a meeting Thursday night in Oskaloosa. The meeting designated Site A as the preferred location for further evaluation, and retained Site B as the secondary site. Site A is located north of Highway 163 between Highland Avenue and 220th Street. The meeting featured public comment which was both supportive and in opposition to the proposed airport. Both Pella Area Development Corporation and the Mahaska Community Development Group have come out in support of the project.
