The Pleasantville girls’ golf team started day one of the Class 1A state golf tournament in fourth place after 18 holes were in the books in Marshalltown. The team shot a 382, a total of 25 strokes behind first place Grundy Center who is holding onto a slim four stroke lead over last year’s state champs, Bishop Garrigan. Hannah Gordon is tied for 11th overall with her first round score of 89, Ashley Jahner shot a 91, Oliva Bailey carded a 98, and Alli Friday had a 104. Day two is set to tee off later this morning at 9:00 a.m.
