The Twin Cedars’ baseball team participated in the Murray tournament and came away with a pair of wins on Thursday. They started with a win over Mount Ayr, 15 – 3 in five innings. Otis Roby threw three innings of perfect ball while striking out seven. Coy Moore and Roby each scored three runs while combining for three hits, and Corey Harrell knocked in seven runs and had a deep fly for the Sabers. In game number two, the Sabers made short work of Murray, beating them 11 – 1 in six. Junior Drew Carlson threw all six innings allowing one run on four hits and striking out eight. Harrell hit another home run and finished with three more RBIs and Brent Parker was 2-for-3 with four runs batted in for the Sabers, who improve to 4 – 0 on the season. Twin Cedars will next play at BCLUW on Monday.
