Despite limited space, many people have found a way to make gardens work in their homes and yards. Their secret is vertical gardening, something you can learn more about this Saturday. Marion County Extension Specialist Karen Ackley says that it’s one of the hottest trends in gardening right now. She explains it uses space that’s readily available – you’re growing up instead of using space on the ground. Ackley says they’ll explore options for vertical gardening, including hanging baskets, palettes, and even walls. That workshop takes place from 10:30-noon Saturday; pre-registration is required.
