The east-side Casey’s store in Knoxville will be undergoing a complete renovation this summer. The Knoxville City Council approved plans recently that pave the way for the facelift to take place. Casey’s has purchased neighboring properties surrounding the store they recently bought from Kum & Go. They plan on completely deconstructing what’s on site before putting up a new building as part of a $1.3 million project. The action the Council recently took allowed those properties Casey’s purchased to be rezoned. Assistant City Manager Dylan Feik says the project will provide a nice addition to the east side of town.
