Twin Cedars’ ball clubs have their eyes on the prize with the postseason just over the horizon, and they each picked up a victory over Moulton-Udell on Tuesday. Sabers’ baseball won 10 – 1. The game was close through four innings, but the bats got going shortly thereafter. Twin Cedars exploded for seven runs in the final three frames, and they rode the strong pitching of Coy Moore the whole way to the “W.” Eric Clark went 4-for-4, Drew Carlson went 3-for-4 with a home run and was just a triple short of the cycle, and Collin Still, Hunter Embray, and Moore, along with Carlson, all drove in two runs apiece. In the softball contest, the game ended in six innings in favor of the Sabers, 11 – 1. Bailey Stone ended the game in the sixth with a three run shot over the outfield wall. Stone finished with four RBI’s in the game to lead the charge offensively. Twin Cedars’ baseball is 22 – 1 while softball improves to 20 – 7. Sabers’ baseball is on the road to play Cardinal of Eldon, while the lady Sabers host Albia for a contest, both of which take place later tonight.
