Part of one of the more successful teams in recent Central baseball history, the departing seniors from this year’s squad made their mark on the program in the seasons they wore the white and red for the Dutch. They helped set a school record for wins last year with 29, and helped the team become Iowa Conference champions back in 2012, as well. Coach Adam Stevens tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that though they will be losing a boatload of talent this year with saying goodbye to six seniors, he is still very optimistic for the future of the program. Seth Carson, Allen Mann, Ryan Goetzinger (Geht-zinger), Dirk Lindaman, Michael Jontz and Sam Stetzel are the six Dutch that graduated this spring, and they helped lead the Dutch to a deep conference tournament run this season and an overall record of 22 – 19.
