Following an 18 – 2 season and a semifinal finish in the Class 2A state soccer tournament, the Pella High girls’ soccer team had 11 athletes make it to the All-Conference team in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Five seniors and one junior were nominated to the first team: forward Bri Schroder, midfielders Gabi Meirick and Allie DeMeulenaere, defenders Jackie Sunderman and Heather Van Wyk, and goalkeeper Zoe Vermeer. Riggen Blom, Ashley Kirkland and Mallory Lynch were all part of the second team all-conference, while Jessica DeWaard and Jillian Sagers received an honorable mention. The Lady Dutch fell 4 – 0 to seven-time defending champion Cedar Rapids Xavier on Friday in the semifinals.
