The number 15 was magic for both Twin Cedars’ ball clubs last night, as they each came away with victories over Seymour. Sabers’ baseball came out with a 15 – 2 win in five innings. Eric Clark was the winning pitcher, throwing all five frames and striking out 11 batters. Drew Carlson was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with five RBI’s, and Corey Harrell and Hunter Embray each smacked a home run. The Twin Cedars’ girls scored 13 runs in the first three innings, and won in a complete game 15 – 7. Ayla Crosby was 4-for-5 at the dish and swiped four bases; Shyann DenBurger, Alee Hugen and Brittney Roby all added multiple hit efforts on the night. Twin Cedars’ baseball is now 25 – 1, the softball squad is 22 – 7; the Sabers’ boys will have a showdown on their hands today when they play Van Buren, and the ladies are off until Wednesday for a big match-up against Murray.
