The Knoxville Softball Squad will head to Norwalk today and keep momentum going after getting a win in its conference opener Friday at Newton. Coach Steph Christner says the girls have improved in nearly every facet of the game including hitting. She says they are hitting line drives instead of pop ups. Christner adds once they start finding holes in the defense, the runs and hits will continue to rise. Defensively, they are getting better, however Christner ads there are still times where lapses happen. She has been using the theory of playing for 16 seconds at a time. Knoxville is 2-4 on the season, and will play its first varsity double header tonight at six.
