The Knoxville Softball Squad blasted Grinnell last night in two games by a combined score of 20-2. In game one, the Panthers won 9-1 as the bats got going. Shaye Nichols went 2/4 with an R-B-I, Cheyenne Jones went 2/4 with two R-B-I, and Jory Wallace went 2/3. In the nightcap, the Panthers sent everyone home early in an 11-1 thrashing of the Tigers in five innings. The bats continued to sizzle as Lucy Olson went 2/3 with two R-B-I, Rikki Hall was 2/3, and Cheyenne Jones went 3/4 and two more R-B-I coupled with her first game effort she was a combined 5/8 and four R-B-I. Emily Wallace pitched nine combined innings giving up two runs on three hits, three walks and five strikeouts. Knoxville is now 6-9 on the season and 3-3 in the Little Hawkeye Conference with a road game at Oskaloosa on Friday.
