Two close contests unfortunately did not go the way of Melcher-Dallas last night. The Saints’ baseball team fell 9 – 6 to Lamoni after having a 4 – 0 lead early on, while the softball club went to extras and also lost to Lamoni, 3 – 2 in eight innings. Melcher-Dallas’ baseball team is now 4 – 9 and the girls drop to 12 – 10 overall. Saints’ baseball is off until Monday to play I-35, and the softball team will host Pleasantville for a contest this afternoon.
