Two low scoring affairs led to two different results between Melcher-Dallas and Murray last night. Saints’ baseball won 4 – 1, and Coach Jon Suntken told KNIA/KRLS Sports that it was the most complete seven-inning game his team has played all season. Trent Flesher went the distance on the mound and his defense backed him up behind him. Melcher-Dallas softball unfortunately got shut out 3 – 0. Lexi Crozier was the hard luck loser on the mound, only giving up four hits, one of them a home run, and striking out five. She was also 1-for-3 at the plate, as were Madyson Riebhoff and M’Kay Knutson. Melcher-Dallas’ baseball squad improves to 7 – 10 while the loss drops the girls to 15 – 11 overall. Saints’ baseball next hosts Twin Cedars for a big game, and softball is off until Tuesday to play Seymour.
