After a shaky start to the day, the bats really started to wake up for the PCM softball team as they won two of their three games in the Bondurant-Farrar tournament Saturday. The Mustangs started the day with a 5 – 2 loss to Webster City, but rebounded to win 13 – 3 over Williamsburg and 7 – 5 against Earlham. Kelsey Townsend went a scorching 7-for-11, while Kayla Jennings recorded six strikeouts in her very first varsity pitching start against Webster City. PCM’s softball team sits with a 4 – 2 record at the moment, and they will start a busy week featuring six games in six days today when they travel to Roland-Story for a Heart of Iowa Conference match-up.
