The rain did not spoil any kind of hit parade that the PCM softball team put on last night, as they beat the Cubs of Nevada, 13 – 1 in five innings. The game started out in a delay because of the rain and lightning, but it was all Mustangs as soon as everything cleared up. Payge Edwards hit a home run and got the win on the mound, pitching all five innings of the contest. The baseball game got suspended in the middle of action with the Cubs leading 1 – 0. KNIA/KRLS Sports will let you know first, fast and accurately when the baseball game will be played to completion. PCM’s softball team improves to 9 – 8 on the year, and they’ll participate in a tournament in Oskaloosa starting later this morning at 9:15, and the Mustangs’ baseball club will play in a tournament at West Marshall beginning at 11:00 a.m.
