Two ranked teams did battle Thursday night on the softball diamond, and it was the Warriors of Norwalk in Class 4A that prevailed over Class 3A PCM, 7 – 1. Kelsey Townsend was 2-for-3 and Krystal Pendroy was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate. Norwalk came in ranked 14th in their class, while PCM made it to the polls for the first time this season at 15th. The loss pushed the Mustangs’ record back to 5 – 5 on the season. PCM will at least get to come home for a change tonight in a Heart of Iowa Conference game versus C-M-B.
