They’re playing some good baseball and softball in Bussey lately, and on Monday night, it was a big win over a ranked Wayne squad that went the way of Twin Cedars’ softball team by a final score of 4 – 3. The Sabers collected eight hits while playing an error-free game on defense. Shyann DenBurger went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI, and Brittney Roby also collected two hits for Twin Cedars. The game was back-and-forth, and it took a two-run error by the Falcons to give Twin Cedars the lead for good. Mackenzie Sedlock pitched an inning-and-a-third of scoreless ball, including a perfect seventh, to earn the win on the mound in relief of Roby. The Sabers are 12 – 6 and winners of eight of their last ten games. They will be at Mormon Trail for a game later this evening.
