Freshman Elyse Sadler continued her dominance on the mound this year, throwing a no-hitter and shutting out Grinnell in back-to-back softball contests on Tuesday, by final scores of 12 – 0 and 10 – 0. The price per inning of admission was a little high; game one finished in four innings, and game two in five. Allie DeMeulenaere went 6-for-7 on the night with six stolen bases, Sara Tallman was 3-for-7, and Diana Zabradova was 5-for-7, just to name a few of the Pella ladies who had terrific nights at the plate to back-up the gems from Sadler, who allowed just three hits in total over both contests. The Lady Dutch improve to 11 – 13 overall and a record of 7 – 3 in the conference. They will make the very short drive to Pella Christian for a varsity game later tonight. You can hear that contest streamed live at with Jamie Brockman on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage starts at around 7:15 p.m.
