An R-B-I single in the bottom of the seventh by Bryce Zoutte propelled Knoxville to a 10-9 win over Pella last night in baseball. The Panthers and Little Dutch battled back and forth all game long with Pella jumping on top with two runs in the first inning. Knoxville would respond in its half of the first to go up 3-2, and then plate three more runs in the second to lead 6-2. Pella got a run in the second and plated five in the fourth to lead 8-6. Both teams would go scoreless in the fifth and six innings with Pella leaving a combined four runners on base in the fifth, six, and seventh innings. Knoxville Coach Joel Johnson was proud of the guys resiliency all game long. Meanwhile Pella Coach Jesse Jablonski said the runners left on base in the late innings was the key. Zoutte was 1/1 on the night at the plate with three walks. For Pella, Garrett Pettyjohn went 3/5. Kaden Loscher got the win for Knoxville in relief of Bryce Zoutte. Loscher went 3 1/3 innings giving up one run on six hits, no walks, and two strikeouts.
