The annual Dutch summer festival Kermis will be hosted by the Pella Historical Society as part of this weeks Thursdays in Pella activities. In the past the event has been held on a Saturday morning, but Bonnie Verberg at the Historical Society shares that they understand families are busy on the weekends, and moving the event to tonight, just seemed like a natural fit. Games will be set up just west of the Tulip Toren, with tickets for sale that will allow the children to play Dutch inspired games for about 50 cents. Games include a bologna toss, ring the tulip, and other fun activities. The Kermis has been held in Pella for 30+ years and Bonnie is expecting hundreds of children to participate this year.
