Birdie Down

Last weekend, Pella’s award winning community theater, the Union Street Players, began their production of Bye Bye Birdie. Thursday, the satire on American society returns for it’s second and final week. Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958, and was inspired by the phenomenon of Elvis Presley and his draft notice into the Army in 1957. The show is full of 50′s nostalgia and rockabilly music, providing fun for the whole family.
