Waldos and Kid

Even though most RAGBRAI riders spent less than 12 hours in Pella, the Tulip City spent nearly a year planning for their role as a pass thru and meeting community. The majority of riders entered Pella by 10am last Thursday, and vendors filled the square selling food, gear, and dutch themed souvenirs, while tours, games, live music, and a zip line provided entertainment. KNIA/KRLS’ Big Red Radio was also on site playing music, and making announcements. As a meetup town, Pella saw an extra 1,500 team buses full of support staff for the riders.
