The 2013 Pella Christian softball team was comprised of several girls who were looking for their roll. Whether it be offensive contributor, pitcher, leader, or some other key factor, the Eagles started filling those slots in quickly as the season progressed. One senior who had her season cut short with an injury, Jenna Roose, contributed in several ways in the 20 games she was able to play and start in. When she went down for the rest of the season, it would have been easy for her to give up, but Coach Nate Van Wyk said she showed a lot of heart and fortitude with her contributions the rest of the way. Shannon Fynaardt and Jaynee VandeWeerdhof are the two other seniors along with Roose that graduated just a few months ago.
