The Knoxville Baseball squad went on the road Tuesday night to play a non-conference game at the defending Class 3A State Champion Dallas Center-Grimes and fell by the final score of 6-1. The young Panthers went even younger against the Mustangs as Head Coach Joel Johnson decided to rest four of his normal starting lineup. Lefthander Bryce Zoutte went the distance and took the loss on the mound for Knoxville…his record falls to one-and-two on the season. Nolan Wallace led off the game with a double and scored, but he would be the last Knoxville player to cross the plate against D-C-G. Knoxville will return to Dallas Center in two weeks for a first round district game against Ballard. Knoxville is now 10-11 on the season and will play non-conference doubleheaders both Friday at home with Eddyville-Blakesburg and Saturday at Albia.
