A couple big events are coming up over the next few days at the Knoxville Public Library. They’ll be holding their annual Outdoor Day on Friday. That takes place from 1-to-3pm and includes plenty of rides, some food, family activities, and more. It’s a celebration of the completion of the summer reading program.
The Library is also receiving a special loan on Thursday. The original Iowa State Flag will arrive in Knoxville Thursday and be on display for RAGBRAI and through September 6th. The Library asked for the flag as part of their RAGBRAI celebration. Knoxville, of course, is the home of the Iowa State Flag. It was created by Dixie Gebhardt in her home that share’s the same block as the Knoxville Library.
