Pella’s baseball team is starting to see more and more of the one-run games go their way, and last night they did it again, this time against Perry, in a 2 – 1 final. Jacob Gleason was the starting pitcher and ended up with the win, going five-and-two-thirds, scattering three hits, one walk and striking out eight in the process. Grant Judkins got the save by pitching the rest of the contest. Ryan Shull was 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and a run scored, Tanner Wood had a hit and Isaac Naaktgeboren had two knocks with an RBI. Pella has won three straight, four of their last five, and are now 15 – 17. They conclude their regular season tonight, on the road against Fairfield.
