Last night, the Little Dutch rallied to win 2 – 1 over the Big Red on the baseball field in a non-conference bout. Centerville scored one in the fifth, but Pella came and tied it in the sixth, then walked off with the win with two outs in the seventh, thanks to a game-winning base knock from Christian Stafford to score Tanner Wood. Coach Jesse Jablonski tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that it was a great pitcher’s duel from start to finish. Jacob Gleason threw six innings, giving up only two hits and striking out 14, but had to settle for the no-decision. Austin Titman kept the score tied in the seventh to earn the win on the mound.
