Both PCM baseball and softball fell to different opponents last night. The baseball team played a non-conference contest with Grinnell and lost 4 – 2. The Mustangs could only manage five hits on the night, with two coming from the bat of Alek Breckenridge. Keith Timmons was the loser on the mound, giving up four runs on seven hits and striking out six. PCM softball fell to Saydel 11 – 3. Payge Edwards and Kelsey Townsend each homered for the Mustangs to highlight their evening. PCM baseball is now 17 – 11, softball’s record is 17 – 14, and the Mustangs’ boys will host Bondurant-Farrar tonight, and the girls are off until tomorrow when they head to North Polk.
