Pleasantville begins its postseason on Tuesday in the Class one-A District against Wayne. The Trojans beat their Pride of Iowa Conference brethren twice by combined scores of 22-2. Coach Sheldon Card says one reason for the 22-11 record this season is the pitching, which he says was a big question mark going into the season. He adds he was not sure if he could get five or six innings out of any of the guys, but was quickly and pleasantly surprised at how Patrick Sheehey, Josh Luna, and Jesse Nichols have stepped up. He is also pleased with the guys that come in for relief appearances. The Trojans and Wayne battle Tuesday night in Pleasantville.
