After a solid season that saw the Pleasantville Baseball Squad win the Pride of Iowa Conference title and get 20 wins, the Trojans now turn their attention to the Class 1A District first round starting tonight in Pleasantville. The Trojans take on Wayne whom Pleasantville has defeated by a combined score of 22-2 this season. The Falcons are coming in with a 9-13 record and a three game losing streak, included in that was a wild 23-22 loss to Murray in their regular season finale on Thursday. Pleasantville is 22-11 and Coach Sheldon Card says while they have not seen Wayne’s number one pitcher, he is still confident that guys will stay disciplined at the plate. As a team the Falcons have a 5.14 E-R-A. The Trojans will play at seven, following the Melcher-Dallas and Southeast Warren contest which is scheduled to start at five.
