They just played each other two days ago, and now Twin Cedars and Murray will go head-to-head tonight, this time on the Mustangs’ fields, to determine who will be walking away Bluegrass Conference champions. The Sabers’ softball team holds a one game lead over the Mustangs after beating them in a ten-inning thriller on Wednesday, 6 – 5. Most of the girls on this Sabers’ team went through a vigorous conference battle during the basketball season, and head coach, Zack Dunkin says that the experience of going through that will help them in their quest to clinch the league’s softball title. For the Sabers’ boys, they are looking to come away with a clean sweep of their conference schedule with a win over Murray tonight. They beat this same team 11 – 0 in five innings also on Wednesday, and Coach Matt Miller says they can’t fall asleep on this good hitting Mustangs’ squad. Both games are set to get going at approximately 7:30 tonight.
