Everyone knows that baseball has one of the most demanding and longest seasons of any sport. Twin Cedars has had big wins this season; winning at Principal Park over St. Edmond, Fort Dodge; defeating Class 3A Oskaloosa; beating Martensdale – St. Mary’s in the regular season and in the first round of the Class 1A state tournament, and many, many more. Several Sabers already have distinct memories of this 2013 club, though many more memories are being made with each passing day. Outfielder Brent Parker remembers how his team dealt with their first loss of the season the most. Pitcher Otis Roby has noticed how close this team has been. Third baseman Corey Harrell has also noticed the closeness. As you can probably tell, this is a very special team that has a very special goal they’ve set for themselves. Hopefully, they still have two games left to go this season. You can hear one final interview with the players of Twin Cedars on tonight’s Marion County PM Sports Page on 92.1 KRLS which starts at around 6:30 p.m.
