Tom Petty once wrote, “The Waiting is the Hardest Part,” and this is especially true for Coach Catie Brand and this quickly approaching 2013 volleyball season. Brand and her team were at the Central volleyball camp last week, and she says it was nice to have the whole team all together again as a sort of “season preview,” and from the looks of things, her team is picking up where they ended in 2012. The Lady Dutch were ousted in their regional tournament against perennial powerhouse, Solon, but not before winning the first game of the set over the Spartans. Pella has a preseason scrimmage at Ankeny on August 17, and will open the season on August 29 with a match against Ballard.
