Since Coach Troy Rider’s arrival in Knoxville, each season, one player has been chosen to wear jersey number 39. The number 39 is very special number to the Knoxville Football program as it was the number that Ken Locke wore during his career at Knoxville. The jersey goes to a senior that best displays the character on and off the field that Locke displayed. This year’s Ken Locke Legacy Player is Brandon Iddings. Rider says Iddings has been through a lot in his career and while all of the seniors were very deserving, Iddings stood out. Iddings is battling for one of the starting linebacker jobs for the Panthers. Knoxville will open its season next Friday in Ken Locke Stadium against P-C-M.
