Question marks abound at almost every position going into the 2013 Knoxville Football season, and the offensive and defensive lines have some of the most intense competition for starting spots. Coach Troy Rider says seven or more guys are fighting for a spot along the Panthers’ front line. Rider says the only spot that is nailed down for sure is the center spot with Austin Ramsey, however, all of the other positions are up for grabs. Rider and the rest of the coaching staff hopes to answer some of the questions tonight when the Panthers head to Fairfield for a preseason scrimmage with the Trojans. This is the first time Knoxville has scheduled a preseason scrimmage with another team. Rider says Fairfield is similar to Knoxville in that the Trojans also have key positions to fill before next week’s season kick-off.
