The highly anticipated debut of Pella High football is tonight, when the Little Dutch host visiting Marshalltown. The Bobcats said goodbye to their quarterback, Blake Gimbel, who threw for nearly 4,000 yards last year, and lost their top two running backs and top four receivers to graduation. What remains is a mystery, though Pella coach, Jay McKinstrey says Marshalltown’s quarterback is a little quicker than Gimbel was, but his Little Dutch have some speed, too. Tonight’s 2013 opener will be aired live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com with Cory Houser and Randy Sikkema on the call. Pregame coverage starts at 7:00 p.m. with kickoff scheduled for 7:30.
