Coach Adam Stevens has a lot of things to look forward to when the 2014 Central baseball season comes around next spring. He will have a program-record number of seniors returning with several years of experience under their belt, and most of those players also were involved in quite a few one-run games last year that went the Dutch’s way. They may have a lot of experience and leadership coming back, but Stevens says he’s also excited about the younger players who will be sophomores next season, many of whom he says could have played on the varsity squad in 2013. The Dutch skipper also stressed how important leadership is going to be for his team next year, and would like to see many of his returners step up into that role this spring.
